Covington Homes builds more than houses. This Colorado Springs Homebuilder builds community, and at Covington Homes every member of the team understands the value in taking care of that community.
As co-owner Grace Covington puts it, “If your community is not healthy, you don’t have a community. As we’re building communities and houses, we need to also build a strong safety net and environment for our kids.”
It’s with that sense of purpose that Covington Homes operates, and it’s the reason the company makes giving back a central focus of what they do.
CASA of the Pikes Peak Region is one of three local nonprofits that Covington Homes supports financially. (They also support St. Jude and Peak Vista.) It all started in 2009 when Grace first discovered CASA during a church nonprofit fair. ...Read More

2016 Breakfast of Champions
For the past twelve years, Peak Vista has been putting on the Breakfast of Champions fundraiser. We have been involved for many years and this year we were the VIP Reception Sponsor for the event. The goal of Breakfast of Champions is to help raise money to close the gap between the funding they receive and the cost of care they provide.
...Read More Peak Vista offers health care to those with access barriers. Last year alone they helped served nearly 84,000 people! It is because community support and donors they are able to provide this care to those who otherwise wouldn’t be able to receive it.
This year the keynote speaker was Professional Soccer player and two-time Gold Medal Olympian Mia Hamm. Her speech was fantastic and inspiring, to say the least.
CASA Small Business Partner Award
In September, CASA honored local businesses, citizens, and foundations in the Pikes Peak Region for their investment in CASA and the children. We were so honored to be invited and given the Small Business Partner Award. It was such a great night to be surrounded by others in the community that are dedicated to helping children and create a better community.
...Read More Children are so precious. And the children that CASA serves ARE the least of these. Lost, afraid, angry, shy, seeking, searching, longing, left behind.
Through the wonderful and amazing CASAs, these children, who think they have no hope an uno future in life, are shown their true worth. Through their CASA they understand that they are gold. They are hope. They are the future. They are blessings from above. They are wanted and they are loved.
We are truly humbled and honored to be able to be a Difference-Maker.
Why is CASA so Important?
CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates. It is a volunteer based non-profit organization serving El Paso and Teller County giving children who have been abused, neglected, or suffered from domestic violence a voice in the court system.
...Read More When a CASA is assigned to a case, they speak for the child and go in front of the judge to explain what they have observed with the child and give recommendations in the best interest of the child. The CASA will visit the home to see living conditions and how the child is being taken care of. The CASA will also visit with the child while they are in Foster Care to help ensure that child is in an environment where he or she can thrive.
The CASA is always looking out for the best interest of the child. By being very involved in the child’s life they are able to appropriately determine what should be done. Each CASA is generally only assigned one case, so they are able to focus on that case and give their all.
